Objectives: 1) To understand and analyse the security vulnerabilities of XAI tools; 2) to leverage XAI to identify the security issues of multimodal embedded learning methods; 3) to evaluate the proposed solutions.
Expected Results: 1) Analysis of security issues of XAI methods; 2) XAI methods for identifying security issues in multi-modal explanation; 3) Proof-of-concept demonstration of XAI-enabled security enhancement for autonomous robotics.

UREAD (3 months, M28-M30): XAI methods to tackle security and privacy challenges in multi-modal embedded AI, with Prof. X. Chen (KPI: joint paper)
Candidate profile: telecommunication engineering, applied mathematics, electrical engineering, computer science (in order of preference)
Desirable skills/interests: signal processing, statistical filtering, machine learning, applied optimization (the applicant should be proficient in at least one or two of the skills)
